Julia Jamila Werner has been working as a Scientific Officer in the SW&D event area active.

She completed a bachelor's degree in moderation and journalism in Hamburg and worked for the TV stations ProSieben and NDR. She went on to specialise in political science and sociology in her Bachelor's degree, followed by a Master's degree in international politics and international law. She is co-founder of the Transatlantic Student Initiative (TSI e.V.), Regional Director for the MENA region for the non-profit association iFAIR, worked in conflict and radicalisation research at the ISPK (2023) and represented Germany as part of the NATO Youth Leaders Program at the NATO Summit in Washington (2024).

Her areas of interest lie in particular in the fields of human rights, social movements, security policy and democratic resilience.
