PD Dr Matthias Lemke teaches at the\u00a0<\/span>Akkon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>in the study programmes\u00a0<\/span>\"Management in hazard prevention\"<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>\"Leadership in hazard prevention and disaster control\"<\/em>.<\/p>

He received his doctorate in 2007 as part of a Franco-German doctoral programme at the\u00a0<\/span>Sciences Po Paris<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>and at the\u00a0<\/span>University of Vechta<\/em>. During his studies and doctorate, he was a scholarship holder of the\u00a0<\/span>Friedrich Ebert Foundation<\/em>Bonn. After working as a teacher for special tasks and as a research assistant in Vechta and at the\u00a0<\/span>University of Duisburg-Essen<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>he moved to the\u00a0<\/span>Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg<\/em>where he was already responsible for the development and conception of the\u00a0<\/span>Journal for Political Theory<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>(ZPTh) in Hamburg. From 2012, Dr Lemke was responsible in Hamburg for the scientific coordination of a\u00a0<\/span>BMBF research project<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>in the area\u00a0<\/span>Political theory and digital humanities<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>responsible. In 2016, he completed his habilitation at the\u00a0<\/span>Helmut Schmidt University<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>and was authorised to teach political science. He then moved to\u00a0<\/span>Eugen Ewig Scholarship Holder<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>on\u00a0<\/span>German Historical Institute Paris<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>and taught at the\u00a0<\/span>Campus de Nancy of Sciences Po Paris<\/em>and the\u00a0<\/span>Federal University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration<\/em>.<\/p>

His work focuses on the following areas\u00a0<\/span>Political and social sciences<\/em>the\u00a0<\/span>Political theory and history of ideas<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>and in the\u00a0<\/span>Digital Humanities<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>- especially for the topics\u00a0<\/span>Democratic socialism<\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>Economisation techniques<\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>Blended Reading<\/em>the\u00a0<\/span>State of emergency<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>and the\u00a0<\/span>Health emergency<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>as research objects and in the field\u00a0<\/span>Fundamental rights and the police<\/em>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
