Similar problems arise when looking towards the Indo-Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.degruyter.com\/journal\/key\/sirius\/html#latestIssue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>current issue of SIRIUS<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;deals with this topic and approaches it from different perspectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Brad Roberts&nbsp;<\/strong>analysed in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.degruyter.com\/document\/doi\/10.1515\/sirius-2023-3002\/html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>\"Is NATO's nuclear deterrent fulfilling its purpose?\"<\/strong><\/a>whether NATO's current arrangements for deterring nuclear blackmail can still be considered appropriate today.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The contribution&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.degruyter.com\/document\/doi\/10.1515\/sirius-2023-3003\/html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>\"Extended nuclear deterrence - on the credibility of NATO's strategy in the light of the Russian threat\"<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;is based on the recently adopted NATO strategy.<strong>&nbsp;Heinrich Brauss&nbsp;<\/strong>points out that this strategy means a significant strengthening of conventional defence capabilities.
