Panel discussion at the Schader Foundation on the challenges of German coalition democracy
Yesterday evening, our Chief Executive Officer took part in the Panel discussion "How to govern now? Current challenges of German coalition democracy" at the Schader Foundation in Darmstadt. Together with renowned academics and journalists, she discussed the complex challenges facing Germany's political system in turbulent times.
At the centre of the debate, which is part of the Conference "How to govern now?" The focus was on the consequences of the end of the traffic light coalition, the ongoing economic crisis, migration policy tensions, financial bottlenecks at municipal level and the state of public infrastructure. Germany's role in a changing international order, characterised by security policy challenges and a change in transatlantic relations, was also critically examined.
